Student Wellbeing
At the heart of Wirral Learning Hub is a genuine commitment to supporting every student as an individual.
We understand that each young person’s needs are different
We take a nurturing, flexible approach to ensure they feel cared for, valued, and understood.
A nurturing environment
Throughout the day, we make time to listen to our students and support them in ways that feel meaningful. Sometimes this might be as simple as offering tea and toast, or taking a quiet moment to talk if they’re feeling worried or overwhelmed. We know that young people learn best when they feel safe, happy, and settled, and taking the time to care is a key part of supporting their wellbeing.
Pastoral support
Our dedicated team provides ongoing pastoral support, available to students whenever they need it. Because of our small, close-knit setting, staff are able to quickly recognise when a student may be having a difficult day and respond with the right support at the right time.
Regular wellbeing check-ins
Every four weeks, students have the opportunity to take part in a more structured wellbeing check-in with a member of staff. These sessions provide a safe space to talk openly about how they are feeling, share any concerns, and reflect on their progress.
