What We Do

At Wirral Learning Hub, we support the whole child — not just their education, but their confidence, wellbeing, and personal development too.

Our experienced and caring team create a safe, welcoming environment where every young person feels valued.

Sessions are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs.

A typical day

We keep our days structured but varied to help students stay focused and enjoy their time with us. Our core sessions run from 9:30am to 1:00pm, with students taking part in three activities lasting around 40 minutes each. Regular breaks give them time to relax, socialise, or enjoy the outdoor space.

We also offer a smaller, quieter afternoon session from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for students who benefit from a calmer setting.

What your child will learn

Students take part in a broad and balanced range of subjects throughout the week, including:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Art
  • PSHE
  • Sport
  • Mental Health & Resilience
  • Social Skills

We also offer the opportunity to take part in the AQA Unit Award Scheme. This allows students to earn certificates as they complete units of learning, helping to build confidence, celebrate progress, and keep them motivated.

Beyond the classroom

We believe learning extends beyond academic subjects. Our programme helps students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, budgeting, and independent living. We encourage young people to engage with their local community and understand how they can make a positive contribution.

Through a range of enrichment activities, students can explore new interests, build on their strengths, and grow in confidence. By getting to know each individual, we support every young person to reach their full potential.
